Whoops... Heh heh...

I think we've all figured out that im not so great at this whole blogging thing. :) I just dont have alot of time for it. But lets see if I can recap whats happened in this half a year... :/

Soooo... School started, and that was fun (NOT). But im a senior now, so its going by like CRAZY. We got my senior pics done! And I must say they look pretty dang good. (Thanks Mommy!!) ;)
Homecoming was fun. I made it on Homecoming Court, so I got to do the whole sash thing during school, and I got to do the parade. I wasn't a huge fan of my escort, but it turned out great anyway.
Continuing on, football season was great. We actually won a bunch of games (total shocker looking at where we were the past couple years), and we ended the season against Luxemburg-Casco in overtime. Thats still a tough one to think about. :P (For one, the refs were making some AWFUL calls, and for two, that was my last high school football game ever. :( )
After Football season, we jumped headfirst into basketball and competition. Teaching all the newbies the cheers and the basics, and having a refresher for us old hats. :) We started learning our cheer/dance routine for competition, which was nuts, but way cute.
In December, we had our yearly cheer clinic for our fundraiser. We spend the day with a bunch of little girls (and boys if by they want) and teach them cheers and a dance, and just have fun with them. :) they are all super adorable!

And  now that im a little bit up to speed, I can talk about the stuff im up to now. :)

January is busy, with school, and cheer, and everything else. Im all applied for college (woot!), and Charlie Brown is out in Idaho (think about it long enough and you can figure it out. ;) ) so he cant distract me AS much. Although he still manages it. :) Now  its just me and my busy, crazy life.
We had our first cheer competition on saturday at Freedom, where we took first in our category! They actually said at the awards ceremony that we got third, but they messed up our group, and we won. :) There were lots of happy tears right then... :)
So we have another competition this saturday, where i will also be in a stunting routine, which I am super pumped for. :)

Okay, well, looks like I got some homework thats calling my name, so I guess I'll clear out. :) And lets see if I can update this at least every other week. :)

Peace Out!

Here We Go...

It's the last day of summer you guys... And the official beginning of my senior year. It's kind of wierd thinking about it. I still remember being in Kindergarten, trying to figure how the heck these letters fit together to make WORDS. And how to read those. I mean, who could get language out of marks on a paper? I still don't get it sometimes... Anyway, I'm now the big bad senior (not exactly big... or bad for that matter, but you get the point) at school, but I still feel like a sophmore sometimes. It's bizarre. I'm getting ready for college, trying to figure out how to apply, and saving up. And then you toss in everything else, like church, and cheerleading... It sorta feels like my life keeps going and I'm getting left behind. I know I'm not cuz it's my life, and I'm in control, but thats what it feels like sometimes.

Busy busy busy... Oh well. :) It keeps me out of trouble.

So I started my blog, just because, really, I had nothing better to do. I know a bunch of people that have them, and I had been toying around with the idea for awhile. So I finally did it. I was going to wait till I started college, but this works just as well. :) So hopefully I'll have some fun with it and you'll have fun reading it.

Where to begin...?

I'll start at the sort of beginning. My name is Alexa, and I was born and raised a Wisconsin girl. :) I have 5 siblings, 2 of which are married, and we have a dog, Allie. Oldest to Youngest are, Tim, 25, Bry (married to Mark), 23, Gwen (married to Greg), 21, Me, 17, Megan, 15, and Scott, 13. oh and Allie. And Mom, Brenda, and Dad, Fred. :) Gotta love those big families.

So thats family. How about school stuff now? I go to a small town High School, (most of you know where, and I dont want any creepers...) :) but I love choir, drama, and art, and I'm also Cheer Co-Captain. Cheer takes up most of my time, but I can still be in Vocal Jazz (like show choir minus the amazing dancing) because it's in the morning. Let's just say that I'm kept busy all day, every day. As much as I hate to admit it, I'm really looking forward to this year. It's sort of my last chance to get high school right, I guess. :)
After graduation (yikes!), I'm planning on going to BYU for a bachelors degree in Graphic Design. I think it would be so much fun to do. So BYU is my school of choice at the moment, but I also think it would be really cool to go to an art school. Yeah, super expensive I know, but it would be an interesting experience.

And church! I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (you might be more familiar with the Mormons). But I love it. I love everything about it, and I wouldn't trade it for
anything in the world. But as I was saying... I was very recently called as the Laurels President, so that's another big responsibility added to my plate. But I am pretty excited for it. Nothing
would make me happier than being able to serve these wonderful girls at church, all the time. :)

One more thing I wanted to talk about real quick. The name of my blog. Gingr By Design. I figured Gingr was easy to figure out. :) I am a ginger. :) But By Design can have two meanings. The first one is that I have always thought it would be kinda cool to open my own business once I got settled down, and my family was (hopefully) a little bit calmer than if my kids were toddlers. and I thought that a cool name for a Grahic Design firm would be "By Design". Yeah, it's simple, but hey it works. The second meaning, is that I was made this way. I was born a ginger, and when I was created, there was a plan in place. I was made By Design.

Thanks and Love You All!
